Matching numbers on the lower receiver, barrel extension, top cover, butt and buffer ring and also the feed tray. This example has been held for a customer who has been unable to get the correct paperwork required so we are now able to offer it for sale. This is the only one available at this time, so don't delay and order now! GERMAN LAFETTE MG42 TRIPOD 1942 dated Lafette tripod in fantastic condition. EXCEPTIONALLY RARE. Complete with original paint as in some places where the top paint coat has worn, there is an indication of the underlying red primer. The tripod has the bolt box, alluminium range plate fully intact, original early pattern leather carry straps with manufacture stamps on clips and super condition original leather pads. All in full working order. The MG ZE sight is in the correct metal box with the carrying strap snapped onto the 2 "D" rings. The box has manufacture code "jvb" and W/A stamp with eagle and swastika. Inside the box there is a brush for cleaning the lenses, a cloth for wiping them off and sun filters in yellow and amber. MG-ZE is an early model manufactured by "G.Heyde, Dresden" serial number 2431 and made before the issue of the 3 letter production code "cnx" in 1942. The sight also has the later "Blue Cross" mark added indicating it was prepared for conditions down to minus 40Centigrade. There is also a leather battery box dated 1940 and manufacturing code "SAG" and W/A stamp with eagle and swastika. The box is linked to an early pattern lead which then connects to the sight for illuminating the collimator and reticule on the optical sight during night operations. The final accessory is the Vorsatzfernrohra (periscope) first produced in November 1942. This was introduced after an investigation into machine gunners killed in action showed that many were killed by being shot through the head - the device was therefore produced in order to enable the gunner to keep his head lower when aiming the gun. These are the best examples and all were made in Mauser Arms Factory.Mauser K98 Rifle G code The G codes were Hitler's secret mark to deceive the allies when Germany began to re-arm in breach of the Treaty of Versailles. G was the code for 1935. They all have the Weimer Stamps as the Eagle and Swastika did not begin to be used until late 1937 and 1938. No foresight cover fitted as there are no grooves in the foresight. The photos are of a typical example.MAUSER MODEL 1934 POCKET PISTOL New in, ONLY ONE.
