08 Pattern Haversack This is an 08 pattern period haversack. It has lost it's top buckles and web tabs, at some stage of it's service History. It has 2 leather tabs added, as a field conversion. The vet's initials are written, on the inside of the pack, as shown. There is an additional service repair, to one side and the other side has a small hole. The buckles on this pack have never been cleaned, as clearly shown. All of the repairs have been added with khaki stitching. It certainly is one haversack, that has well been used !
101st AA West Riding Rocket Home Guard Battery This is a Modern copy photograph, taken off an wartime original photo. It is a rare image of the 101st AA, West Riding Rocket Battery ( Sheffield ) It shows a small group of Home Guard officers from this unit. The photo is a good size, measuring 21 by 17 cm.
105 Squadron RAF Blazer Badge 105 Squadron flew Fairey Battles, with the BEF, in France in 1940 and were one of the first squadrons, to be equipped, with Mosquitos. This badge is clearly well worn and measures 8 by 11 cm. It is completely untouched, as shown.
10th Lancers Slip on Shoulder Title This is an issued example. It does have some loss of material, to the left hand side, as shown. It is otherwise in good condition.

11th Hussars BAOR Christmas Card This is an early 1945 period, BOAR Christmas Card, for the 11th Hussars. It came out of a wartime grouping to a vet, who served from 1944. It is printed on thick card and was for members of the C Squadron. The card measures 9 by 15 cm and is in good condition, as shown.
12th Royal Lancers Armoured Car Press Photo This is a December 1934 dated, press photo. It shows an armoured unit, from the 12th Royal Lancers, embarking for Germany, on Occupation duties. The photo is large, measuring 25 by 20 cm. It has the majority of it\'s original press caption, as shown. The detail in the photo is particularly good.
12th SS Panzer Division Signal Magazine Feature This is a September 1944 dated, German edition, of Signal magazine. It is a packed edition. There is a 5 page photo feature on Arnhem. Then there is a rare, 6 page photo feature on the Hitlerjugend division. The magazine is in good condition, as shown.

1914 Map of Europe This is a pre- 1914 period, map of Europe. It was produced for tourists. It is a good size, measuring 65 by 43 cm. It is printed on thick paper and apart from a few minor rips, to the folds, is in very good condition. The borders of the countries are very thought provoking, to say the least !
1916 Home Front Note Book This is a 1916 dated, Home Front notebook. It is pocket sized, measuring just 12 by 6.5 cm. It appears to have been, a shop keeper\'s notebook. It is named at the back to a Mrs M. Williams, from Liverpool. Every page has annotations, regarding money. The staples have rusted and fallen out of this notebook.
1917 Tommy Birthday Silk Birthday Postcard This is a June 1917 dated example. It was sent by a Tommy in The BEF, in France, to his wife, as shown.
1919 RAF 50 Fighter Squadron Letter This letter was sent by a Captain in 50 squadron on July 9th 1919. It measures 19 by 25 cm and is addressed to someone, in the Birmingham area. 50 Squadron was stationed in the Kent area and were a fighter squadron. From October 1918, 50 Squadron were flying Sopwith Camels, as night fighters, for the Home Defence. The squadron was actually disbanded in June 1919 and it\'s last CO, was Arthur Harris ! It is a small slice of very early, RAF History, that is very worthy of a good home !
1921 German Map This is a 1921 dated, German map of the city of Preslau, which is North of Berlin. It is a good size, measuring 67 by 65 cm. It is in very good condition, as clearly shown.
1930 Lee Enfield Rifle Sling This is a 1930 dated, M.W & S Ltd example. The sling clearly has only recently come off, it\'s rifle. It is clearly a well used example and completely untouched, as shown.
1931 Physical Training Army Manual This is a large format size, Army manual, measuring 13.5 by 22 cm. It is hardback and massively illustrated with photo sequences of PT exercises. The photos sequences run throughout this manual, rather than the occasional photo page, like most other Army manuals. The Army publishers really \'went to town\', on this publication ! It is in mint condition, as shown and a highly impressive publication.

1939 Army Ammo Boots These are a pair of completely untouched size 8 large, 1939 dated, Army ammo boots. Both are in good condition as clearly shown. They are a perfectly matching pair, with each boot 1939 dated, as shown. They are also WD stamped, as shown. The left-hand side boot, has lost some of it's hob nails, at the front. The boots are uncleaned and will look impressive, after some minimal, cleaning. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity, not to be missed . Postage for new customers is set at £35 on this order. 1944 GI ID Tag Paper Packet This is a 1944 dated, EMPTY, paper packet, for a US Army ID tag. It is small, measuring 7 by 9 cm, with some rust bleeding to the staples.
1954 Army Ceremonial Parade Boots These are a 1954 dated, size 10, pair of Army boots. They are an impressive pair, with their degree of bulling. Judging from how extensive this is, on this pair, it would appear that they were used were just parade duties. In addition, they are adapted, at the top, with cuts, to both boot, to allow for wear. They come with a modern pair of boot laces and are in very good condition, as shown. Please note that postage is Medium Parcels size, as the boots weigh in, at over 2 KG.

5th Year at War in Pictures This is a late war, hardback publication. It gives a photo chronicle of all the major events in the war from September 1943 to September 1944. The book has been well read in the past and there are a few tears on some pages. In addition, the front cover and some pages are grubby. These faults aside, the range of photos in these publications is simply huge and the book is priced accordingly.
64th Regiment of Foot Knife and Spoon These 2 surfaced together. Both are unit stamped to the 64th Regiment of Foot ( North Staffordshire ) Both are clearly very well worn and in good, untouched condition. The knife measures 24 cm and the spoon 20 cm. Both are maker stamped, as shown.
6th Anti- Aircraft Division This is a 1940, second pattern example, screened onto canvas. This badge clearly is well worn and tunic removed. It does have a slightly sticky reverse, as a taped backing, was applied onto it, by its' previous collector.
76th Infantry Division This is a 1941 pattern example, embroidered on wool, measuring 48 by 48 mm. It is tunic removed, with some damage, to the top, left hand corner.
7th Army Group Royal Artillery This is a 1947 pattern example, woven on blue cotton. It is clearly tunic removed. It does have some damage, to the top, left hand side, as there is a 1 cm tear. It is priced accordingly.

Aeronautica This is a 1989 dated, hardback publication. It is a handy reference guide for collecting RAF and Luftwaffe items. It is well illustrated throughout with photos. It is small format size and in very good condition. All of the photos in the book, are taken in black and white.
Afrikakorps Feature This is a June 1941 dated edition, of JB magazine. It has features of the Afrikakorps, spread over 3 different pages. The magazine is in good condition, as shown.
AFS Cap Badge This is an issued, wartime example, which shows good wear. It has lost one of it\'s lugs, as shown and is priced accordingly.

AFS Re-enactment Helmet This is a 1939 dated, wartime period, Home Front helmet. It has been repainted, as an re enactment project, as an AFS helmet. The helmet shell is RO stamped and 1939 dated. The liner is a 1939 dated, size 7, VERO example. The chinstrap is wartime issue. So all of the components of this helmet are 100%, wartime period. Only the wartime drawstring, from the liner is missing. Whatever the merits are for conversions of this kind, the helmet is considerably more affordable, that an original AFS example !

The majority of the contents have not been used by the family. They are still covered, by their original, wartime plastic wrappers, on the top. There are splits, to the manual sides, as shown. ARP First Aid Manual These manuals are very rarely encountered. They are undated but are highly likely to be pre-war publications. They are unique, large format size, measuring 21 by 26 cm in hardback. Bound in thick leather, they are packed throughout with illustrations. The front of the manual has a celluloid sleeve, for first aid items, such as bandages. These are missing from this manual. I have tried to include enough photos, to give a clear picture, of how impressive these manuals are. It is in very good condition and is staple free, being linen bound. I am really not expecting to see another one of these manuals for a very long time !

Blitzed Properties Circular This is an April 1944 dated circular to Tettenhall Council in Staffordshire. It\'s subject is most unusual. It warned the ARP services, that Fire Guard training which was being carried out in Blitzed properties had to be stopped. The reason being that the owners of these bombed properties were objecting to their properties being further damaged by ARP training ! It is a timely reminder of the complexities of wartime regulations.

Boxed Micky Mouse Gas Mask This is an issued example, which surfaced recently directly out of a wartime family grouping of 4 gas masks. There is some minor distortion, to the cardboard, as other gas masks, had been stored on top on the Micky Mouse one. The gas mask is January 1940 dated, as shown, on the red rubber. There is some rusting, to the front of the cannister, as shown. The rubber is in good, supple condition, with no rips or damage. The gas mask is uncleaned and should clean up a treat. It is an attic find and has been stored for nearly 80 years.

The buffer crown pad is missing as shown. There are some splashes of green, Post war paint, but these are not visible, when the liner is placed in a helmet. The drawstring is a modern replacement. The external, rubber supports, are all present, on the outside of the liner.

Canadian Army Officer\'s Manual This is a June 1942 dated, Canadian Officer\'s course manual. It is large format size, measuring 15 by 25 cm and is an issued example. It is a most, engaging read. These courses were clearly well lead and focused on providing officers with the most up to date, intelligence on the German\'s operational organisation. The section illustrated here, outlined the German Airborne operational information. The manual is in mint condition and in addition is stamped on the front. It surfaced directly from Canada recently.

It provided Army officers the latest combat intelligence reports, from encounters with enemy troops. The sections on German Airborne troops, are particularly interesting. Citizens in war and after This is a 1945 dated, hardback, colour publication, written by Stephen Spender. It measures 17 by 23 cm. The book has a huge array of very rare wartime, colour photos, which are quite remarkable, for the period. I have included sufficient photos, to illustrate the quality of the images in this book. There are 48 different colour photos, making this a full colour publication. All of the photos features show different members of the Home Front services. It is in very good condition and nothing short of .... a Home Front treasure !

It is a very last example, from a small grouping of these certificates, that surfaced earlier last year. It measures 21 by 28 cm and is in very good condition. There is a 4 page photo feature on Italy, showing the opening phases of the Battle for Monte Cassino. The magazine is in very good condition. Of particular interest on the front cover, the soldier\'s Commando titles have been edited, by the censors, to obscure their units.

Coronet Magazine This is a December 1944, US magazine publication. It is pocket sized, measuring 14 by 19 cm. It was left, over here, no doubt, by US forces, at the end of the war. What is unique about these rarely seen publications, is that the majority of the magazine was printed in colour. There are many rare colour photos of US troops in training. In addition, there are 2 colour, pull out posters. I have only ever seen one example of this publication, so this is an opportunity not to be missed !

Council\'s Trench Shelters Regulations ARP Directive This is a May 1943 ARP Directive to Tettenhall Council in Staffordshire. It outlined that councils were allowed to claim for the timber recycled from early war public trench shelters. However, they had to surrender all recycled timber to the Government\'s Ministry of Supply. It is a timely reminder, of the complexities of wartime regulations !

HMS Glory Aircraft Carrier Christmas Menu 1946 This is a 1946 dated, Christmas menu for naval ratings, serving on HMS Glory. The carrier was commissioned in April 1945 and went to the Far East, taking the surrender of Japanese Garrisons there. HMS Glory went onto serve in the Korean War. The menu measures 10 by 16 cm.

Home Guard Camo Helmet This helmet is new to the market, having surfaced from a vet's family. It is a reissued, Home Front example, as it still retains it's original, Civil Defence 'First Aid Post' logo, on the front, which can be seen , under the camo finish. It is clearly open to conjecture, but the camo finish would have been most likely to have been a Home Guard addition, as this is a Home Front issue helmet. The shell is 1941 dated as shown. The liner was manufactured by AG & Co and 1944 dated. The helmet is uncleaned as shown. I have only cleaned the liner date area, for illustration purposes here. The liner does have damage to it, with quite a few rips, as it is clearly showing it's age. It is a good, honest example, with a most interesting History. Postage is Medium Parcels size on helmet orders, set at £7.

It is printed on high grade paper, giving the photos, excellent resolution, for the period. The book\'s only fault, is the front cover, which has come loose. It is otherwise in pristine, mint condition. It is packed with photos throughout the book and is visually stunning.

Jersey Occupation Magazine Feature This is a July 1940 dated edition of the Third Reich magazine JB. It has a 2-page photo feature on the occupation of Jersey. The caption translates as 'English Island in German hands'. The article is clearly an understatement of German propaganda, as the Germans, no doubt, were expecting much bigger features to come, with the planned invasion of Britain. The magazine is salty, with a very large rip, to the front page, which is also loose. These faults are amply compensated for, by the additional features of the leading Luftwaffe fighter aces feature on Helmet Wick and Werner Molders. In addition, there is a 2-page photo feature on the Blitz. Finally, the front cover shows German troops sunbathing on the French coast, with the English Channel, in the background.

It has the perfect balance of thought provoking articles, cartoons, pin up nudes and humorous photo comparisons. It is nothing short of a masterpiece of understatement, at the nation's finest hour.

London Issued ARP Number 1 Manual This is an April 1940 dated, issued example, to the London borough of Barnes. The manual was issued to ARP personnel, in The Surveyor's Department. The manual has the London stamp on the front cover and on the inside. The vet's named, is written, on the front cover, as shown. It is large format size, measuring 15 by 25 cm. The manual is well illustrated throughout with photos. Of particular interest, are the ARP adverts, as clearly shown. These manuals were linen bound and are staple free. This example is in very good condition and has the special feature of being a London, ARP issued example.

North Africa Campaign Feature This is a February 1941 dated edition of \'Parade\' magazine. These very large format magazines, measuring 41 by 29 cm were printed out in North Africa. This edition celebrated the defeat of Italian forces, in General Wavell\'s offensive. The whole magazine is packed with photos from the offensive and the photo quality is superb. Despite being very salty, with rips and tears, this magazine is well worth the money.

North Africa Officer\'s Photo Grouping This is a small set of 12 photos, taken out in North Africa, by a South African officer. There are 2 additional photos, taken in South Africa. The photos are all taken in the early phase of the conflict, probably in 1941. The photo size is decent, with each one measuring 9 by 6 cm. There is a very clear social divide, in the photos. The officers are pictured together, well away from the NCO\'s and the other ranks. Of particular interest, is the one photo, of the South African generals and in other, one officer has a painted camo finish, on his hessian, steel helmet cover. It is an interesting grouping, which is modestly priced.

Pre Invasion Picture Post Edition This is a May 20th 1944 dated edition of \'Picture Post\' magazine. On the eve of the Normandy landings, all magazines carried out obviously, a news blackout. The front page caption says it all, \'They are just across the water\'. The magazine has an unusual feature on Finland and a rare poem, for \'Salute the Soldier\' campaign. There is some bleeding to the staples, but it is minor.

RAF Hinaidi Iraq Farewell Dinner Menu This pair of RAF items surfaced from the same vet. RAF Hinaidi, was an RAF air base, close to Baghdad, in Iraq. The station was closed in 1937. The farewell dinner postcard is dated October 1934. The photo shows a military camp, by the Pyramids at Giza, in Egypt. Both are in good condition.

The set are both in good condition, as clearly shown and are completely untouched.

The caption on the front translates \' A small thanks from the Fuhrer, to his troops\'. The box is clearly an issued example, judging from it\'s condition. It is small sized, measuring 18 by 12 by 5 cm. I have had this box verified, by leading collectors and it is a 100 % original, Third Reich example.

Third Reich Polish Worker Permits These are 2, Third Reich documents, issued to a Robert Lehman, who was a Polish worker, who was engaged in some work, relating to the German war effort. There is a very salty, Polish passport, which shows that Lehman, who was born in 1899, was engaged in work, for the Germans, from 1940 onwards. The letter is April 1943 dated and instructed Lehman, which worker\'s pay grouping , he was assigned to. The work documents are clearly heavily used and are on sale here, as found.

Third Reich Regalia This is a 1971 dated, First Impression edition, of Jack Pia\'s book on Third Reich regalia. It is, visually, a highly impressive publication. Packed with exclusively colour photos, of Third Reich items, this little book is one not to miss. It measures only 13 by 21 cm, but, it remains a very impressive publication, well ahead of it\'s time.

Time Life Books- Liberation This is a 1984 dated, Time Life publication on the Liberation of France and Holland. It is visually stunning from start to finish. It has a small selection of colour photos, at the front, followed by a massive array of photos from French and US sources. The book spans the invasion, up to the Arnhem operation. It is in pristine, mint condition. It is particularly well written and a most engaging read, into this sphere of the war.

Time Life Books- The Mediterranean This is a 1981 dated, hardback publication by Time Life books. It gives a detailed analysis, into the Med\'s theatre of operations. The book has some very rare colour photos of Hitler\'s 1938 visit to Naples, at the front. It goes on to cover a large array of aspects of the sea war in the Med. Many of the photos are rarely seen and not from British photo archives. The book is in very good condition and an engrossing read, as well as being a visually stunning publication.
Tommy Oil Painting This is a good, wartime example. The portrait is painted on a wooden board, as shown. It is a small sized, measuring 21 by 26 cm and comes complete, with it\'s original, hanging string. The artist\'s name is signed, at the bottom, right hand corner and the date appears to be 1944. The portrait is clearly, no masterpiece, but it is a good, honest, wartime example, not commonly encountered.

VE Day Newspaper This is a May 9th 1945 dated edition of \'The Egyptian Gazette\' newspaper. It was brought back by a Forces vet. It is quite salty as shown, with some bad insect damage. In addition, the vet used the newspaper in 1987, as he wrote on one corner as shown. Putting these faults aside, this remains an honest example that records the excitement of this tremendous day, in the nation\'s History.

The front cover is colourised, as shown and the magazine is simply packed with photo features on The Siegfried Line, The Home Front and the Army. The articles are hard hitting, for the time, with a rare feature on ARP corruption and a stark warning to spies in the country. The magazine is in good condition and one, not to be missed.

The vet has coloured in blue, the outline of the 1940 creation of Vichy France. In addition, he has written on the map in certain places. The map does have rips and a few minor holes, as shown. It is a good size, measuring 44 by 42 cm. It is folded down and would have fitted perfectly, into a Wehrmacht map case.

Wings of the Wind This is a 1954 dated, hardback publication. Written by Peter Stainforth, who served with the 1st Airborne Division, from North Africa, until his capture at Arnhem in September 1944. The dust jacket is damaged, as shown, but the book is otherwise in very good condition. Stainforth\'s first hand accounts of the operations are simply gripping.
