High quality made tunic, retain all of its original, buttons, collar tabs and insignia. The collar insignia has Kings Crown denoting this is Rank of Colonel. Has two medal ribbon bars to left hand side, two top pleated pockets. Full tailors patch to inside C.R. Frost & Sons, 6 & 7 Bridge Street, York. Date 1939. Unfortunately the tunic has suffered extensive mothing mostly to the front, please see photos. Becoming hard to find high ranking officers tunics from WWII. A Very Rare Tower of London Yeoman Warden Guard Full uniform to a former SAS Personnel A Very Rare Tower of London Yeoman Warden Guard Full uniform to a former SAS Personnel. We are very pleased to offer for sale this exceptional rare item indeed, consisting of Hat, Tunic, Trousers, belt (no buckle) red stockings and three collars. The complete set is in fine condition with all original eight buttons produced by London Badge and Button. The coat is labelled to the inside Crown Military Uniforms H M Tower of London, named to Warden Harding. The trousers are again labelled - Crown Military Uniforms H. M. Tower of London named to P Harding. The hat is made by famous hat maker Patey. The collars and belt are unnamed but are original to the complete uniform. P. Harding who was the first and only member of the SAS too serve as Yeoman Warder( Beefeater). P. Harding served at the Tower from 1983-1994. A very rare and desirable tunic of the state uniform of a Tower Warden commonly known as a Beefeater. Would grace any collection. For the collector, investor or maybe for display purpose. Made in high quality red wool with separate applied white silk circle and black silk Swastika with upper and low edges black silk brades. The Silk label to the inside reads RZM 156/36 denoting 1936 and SS. The Armband has much mothing, but with the highly collectable RZM Silk Label inside makes its very desirable. Black woven Swastika to central white roundel applied to Red Cotton Triangle Pennant. Has some marks here and there a small split to the edging and some staining. The height is 205mm and width 325mm. An Original WW1 Allied Souvenir Sterling Silver Spoon A very collectable, enamelled top. English Sterling silver spoon dated 1914. Fully hallmarked to the reverse. The spoon depicting the British, Belgium and French Flags overlapped. Half twisted stem leading onto elongated bowl. Has one tiny pinhead ding to the bowl, the stem is slightly bumpy. An Original WW2 RAF Officers Side Cap A nice example of a WW2 Officers Side Cap with Crown Eagle insignia to side which also carries through to the RAF crown eagle buttons, nice age Paten. Stamped to the inside ZWD711 Military arrow stamp mark, also to the inside stamped Caps FSBGWO 74 S. & P. Harris Limited Glasgow 1945. No mothing, great aging looking to its entirety. To the inside the lining has come away 110mm where you can see the original bolt fixing plates to the inside can easily be reattached. Nice Wartime RAF Officers Side Cap.

Wonderful detailing to Eagle Swastika Cross Guard, near mint orange grip handle. The blade is in superb condition without makers stamp mark. The matching Silver Scabbard is undamaged and in fine condition. Comes with its original silver knot and vertical hangers, the hangers have stamp mark D.R.G.M. This dagger has all its original fittings intact.

Attractive King Charles I As Prince, Original Hand signed document, rare to find, documents by King Charles whilst he was Prince. King of England, Scotland and Ireland. Born 1600. From 1625 until his execution in the wake of the English Civil War 1649. Following the protectorate rule of Oliver Cromwell and his son, Richard, Charles line was restored to the throne with the succession of his son. Charles II in 1660 whose reign was retroactively dated to 1649. Rare manuscript Vellum DS, signed Charles P November 22nd 1621. Original warrant issued to sir Adam Newton ordering payment of £79.10.8 , for reparacions of our stables at the Mews, St James Sheene and Richmond? as per the bill subscribed by Sir Thomas Howard, Master of the Horse, for Francis Wethered, Surveyor of the Stables. Signed in the upper portion by Charles and countersigned below by Francis Crane as auditor general. An attractive document signed by the 21 year old Prince of Wales. Becoming incredibly hard to find any documents signed by the Prince. King Charles was executed at Whitehall, London on 30th January 1649 aged just 48. About the Cold stream Guards The Cold stream guards is one of the oldest British guards Regiments considered by many to the most prestigious to serve with, they have a long and heroic history to the crown The origin of the Cold stream Guards lies in the English Civil War when Oliver Cromwell gave Colonel George Monck permission to form his own regiment as part of the New Model Army. Monck took men from the regiments of George Fenwick and Sir Arthur Haselrig, five companies each, and on 23 August 1650 formed Monck's Regiment of Foot. Less than two weeks later this force took part in the Battle of Dunbar, at which the Roundheads defeated the forces of Charles Stuart. Monck's regiment was left in Scotland. In 1660 the regiment swore allegiances to King Charles II and has guarded the British Monarchy since. Part of their duties today are to guard Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and St James Palace, the Tower of London where the Crown Jewells are housed along with changing of the guard, Trooping the colours and are very distinctive for the black bearskin caps and red tunics they were. The queen is the Colonel in Chief of the cold stream guards regiment they serve as the guards at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.Condition: Is in excellent condition, no mothing. Cased Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Christening Set 1878. Lovely Antique Victorian 1878 Sterling Silver Christening Set made by renowned Silversmith maker of the time Chawner & Co. George William Adams. The Silver spoon & fork have a wonderful beading edging design to back and front of both, leading onto the back of the bowl and back of fork. Made in London 1878. The spoon & fork have monograms to each front ,both have full matching hallmarks and have a nice Silver finish. The set is housed in a brown leatherette case with gold trim, press to release catch which is in full working order. Royal blue velvet base with blue padded silk lining atop. Cast Iron Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Chair Moneybox dated 1953. Cast Iron Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Chair Moneybox dated 1953. A Very large and heavy coronation chair standing at 8” high x 4” wide. Designed in the style of the Royal Coronation Chair that sits in Westminster Abbey which all Kings and Queens are crowned upon. The Chair has some of its original bronze frosting still visible. The chair sits upon four lion feet to each corner, makers mark to the reverse. Very collectable and would grace any moneybox collections or maybe a gift. This item is very heavy, postage charged accordingly, should postage be less then refund will be given.
Charles Darwin hand signed Autograph. Cut from a letter it has been glued of a card which bears a printed photograph of Darwin to the top. Charles Robert Darwin was an English naturalist, geologist and biologist, best known for his contributions to the Science of Evolution. He was born Charles Robert Darwin 12th February 1809, died 19th April 1882 and was a father to 10 children. Very highly collectable and sought after autograph. English Royal Artillery Victorian Circ 1880’s Officers Sabretache Original British Victorian Royal Artillery Sabretache Circ 1880’s, leather backing to the front embossed and richly embroider with a crowned Royal Crest with lion and unicorn each side, a wonderful Royal Cypher worked in silk thread gold and silver bullion floral motives and moto, the workmanship is superb and Attachments were originally to the side but have now gone evidence of presence remains.These were privately made for individual officers of the Victorian era and used to dispatch messages from the higher ranking officers to the troops at the front lines, carrying the Royal Cypher meant the holder of the sabretache would not be stopped in his duties. Condition: some embroidery bullion wire adrift please see photos, no mothing still in wonderful condition for its age These were originally used in the early 18th Century and carried through to the 20th Century later used in parades. Size closed: widest point just under12” (one foot) x 13” high. Fully opened 23 1/2 “ wide.
Extremely Rare Erased Ernst Rohm SS 33 Dagger Extremely Rare Erased Ernst Rohm SS 33 Dagger. An Original SS Mans1933 pattern Dagger also a member of the SA. A good early piece with solid nickel cross guards and scabbard fittings. Inset Enamel SS insignia and silver eagle in both undamaged condition. The cross guard has bench stamp number 1. The blade has pitting to both front and back, but still has a deep etched Meine Ehre heiBt Treue (My honour is called loyalty). To the reverse of the blade grounded and removed Ernst Rohm dedication, this was removed on the orders of Hitler declaring Rohm a traitor on June 30th 1934. The black ebony grip has some cracks to both sides, still in solid condition and slightly discoloured. The dagger comes complete with original black anodised scabbard which shows wear with no major denting, but again has slightly discoloured. Less than 10,000 of these Daggers were awarded. A very difficult, rare Dagger to find and one always missing in the collection.

The signature and inscription to the card is dated Munich 9th December 1938 which is all in Adolf Hitler’s hand. this was received by the intended recipient, but never framed. Fascinating Grouping of MBE and Royal Signatures of King George V, Prince Edward 1932 Fascinating collection of Full Size MBE and various letters along with the Hand singed citation of King George V and Prince Edward 1932, along with the recipients Sterling Silver MBE & Presentation Case The various letters include: Dec 1914 From the Parliamentary Committee requesting Mr George Elmslie to immediately sign up for HM Forces. Nov 1915 From Inland Revenue for non conscription of Mr George Elmslie to the HM Forces for he was a much valid member of the Inland Revenue and they required his services. Dec 1932 From 10 Downing street including envelope advising of recommendation for MBE. Jan 1932 Citation hand signed by King George V and Prince Edward Feb 1932 From Central Chancery of the Order of Knighthood St James Palace confirming date and time of forthcoming investiture. Feb 1932 From Central Chancery of St James confirming Registration. Dec 1932 From Central Chancery of St James confirming the notification of the death of Mr George Elmslie. Small newspaper clipping announcing the death of local MBE man Mr George Elmslie. MBE is Sterling Silver fully hallmarked. Full Size Medal with Original Presentation Case intact made by Royal Silversmith makers of the time Garrard of London and issued 1930.The medal is still in superb finishing as you can see from the photos, The presentation case in which the medal is housed is of a purple leatherette finishing, block letters in gold MBE. Press to release catch which is in perfect working order. To the inside a cream velvet base with a silk padded liner to the roof with the full Garrard stamp and by special appointment to His Majesty The King London. The suspension ring is also hallmarked with the lion passant. Medal size : 75mm x 50mm. In super condition the set. Garrard of London are the makers of the Crown Jewells which are housed in the Tower of London, also Garrard are credited for such pieces as the Queen Mary Crown used for the Coronation.

German Heer M35 Double Decal Steel Helmet A Wonderful Example of the Classic M35 Double Decal Army German Steel Helmet in Superb Condition , much of the original apple green paint finishing remaining as you can see from the photos, only one abrasion to the side of the helmet and also with some scuff marks. The helmet still retains the Eagle/ Swastika and the tri-colour triple decals all original. To the inside fine condition light tanned liner with pull cords still intact. Comes with its original chin strap, also to the inside we see stamp mark Q66 and the recipient’s name in pencil and also to the back edge. An excellent and well above average quality German M35 Double Decal steel helmet. becoming hard to find in this condition

German WW11 NSDAP Political Leaders Visor Cap Ortsgruppenleiter Level. A Nice example of a Political Leaders Peaked Cap, high front with fine brown top and dark brown velvet centre band, with blue piping for Ortsgruppe Level. comes complete with original gilt metal eagle and swastika cockade badge and gold cap cords. The interior of this cap features gold silk lining and plain celluloid patch intact. Sweatband shows some wear, under the leather sweatband is the RZM tag. The cap is in good condition with only a few minor moth nips. The leather sweatband has detached from the front approx 4inches only visible when sweatband is fully opened.
German WW2 Army Artillery Officers Tunic Rank of Hauptmanns. Nice quality four pocket standard cut army artillery Hauptmanns Tunic, dark green pointed collar, stitched in shoulder boards with subdued lace, red underlay for artillery. Matching heavy wire woven collar patches with red centres. Superb high quality army officers breast eagle. Iron Cross 2nd class ribbon to second button hole. A Wurzburg canvas tailors label inside the inner pocket with the name Leutnant konrad attached with date 22.2.41. Green silk lining a hole tailored through the lower left hand bottom pocket with the hanging strap and metallic clap for securing the army dagger. To the upper right breast of the tunic are loops for three awards. Gilt number 5 fitted between the Hauptmanns rank pips on each shoulder board indicating the officer was a member of the 5th Artillery Regiment, which was originally part of the 5th Infantry Division, transferring to the 5th Jager Division in 1942, it fought mainly on the eastern Front including the defence of the Seelow Heights east of Berlin in 1945. Medium size. To the outside of the back of the right arm appears to be blood straining through injury in combat. In excellent condition with only two tiny moth holes to front bottom.
German WW2 Army M40 Combat (Heer) Helmet without Decals German WW2 Army M40 Combat (Heer) Helmet without Decals. A very nice example of an Original WW2 German Combat Helmet. The helmet has some abrasions obviously due to wear, still has a good thick paint finishing. The Helmet has evidence of being in long term storage with storage marks. Still has an original liner to inside, the chinstrap is partially present a portion is missing but still attached to the Helmet. Also marked to liner size 57 and stamp numbers to the inside 2296 and to the side NS64, which is worn but still present. All in all a good example of genuine wartime German Army Combat helmet.
German WW2 Model 1933 Mans Dagger. A Good Condition SS model 33 Mans Dagger having an excellent blade with good deep etchings to the SS motto,double marked both with the Carl Eickhorn trademark plus its RZM number 941/36/SS. The ebony wood grip having one minor chip to the top right hand rear side and another to the lower left hand rear side at the rear, otherwise just minor indentations. Completely undamaged enamel to the upper SS enamel disc. Good high quality national eagle. The mounts are early heavy nickel. The two scabbard mounts generally clean, one screw missing from the top right hand side of the upper mount, the lower mount with very small flattening to the lower ball and one split to the side of the mount above the left hand screw. Good paint finish to the scabbard with some slight losses and one minor crease approx 3cm above the lower scabbard mount. Complete with its original leather strap and belt clip suspension which has lost most of its plating. The dagger is fitted with a portapee knot which is undoubtedly original to the dagger, on lifting back the portapee knot the wire weave reacts against the ebony wood and leaves a white shadow.

Magnificent Stunning Early Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot Barnards of London 1843. A magnificent and truly breathtaking early Victorian 1843 Sterling Silver English teapot made by one of the oldest Silversmith running families of the silversmith trade by Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard. As you can see from the numerous photos I have put on for your perusal. A truly outstanding and highly collectable piece. The teapot has immense design work to its entirety with swishes and swirls which runs into the handle and to the base and top of the spout. Has a beautiful sold English sterling silver finial which depicts an acorn and leaf finishing, which is screw attached with a sold silver nut to the inside. Has a full set of English sterling silver hallmarks to the base which are crisp and clear, with a run number and the retailers mark of Thomas’s Bond Street London, which is one of the most famous and prestige streets in England. The teapot has a highly polished silver finish to its entirety, has been monogrammed and initialled. These are becoming hard to find as many today have wooden handles, this handle is made of sterling silver. The lid of the teapot fits snug and tight, all in all a truly outstanding piece of workmanship and real collectors piece. Condition: light surface marks consistent with age and genuine use. Original Queen Elizabeth I Vellum Manuscript Document with Elizabeth I Wax Seal An original, framed document dating from the Elizabethan period Circ. 1560. Totally hand written on Vellum in Latin. To the beginning of the document we see in Large Elizabeth, probably written by the Privy Council. I have not been able to decipher any of the contents on this and would make a fantastic research project. The document comes with its original Queen Elizabeth I Wax Seal, which is still attached to the document, worn but still present. The entire document has a wooden frame. The frame which is very heavy and not original to the period, which I would date the wooden framing around the 1940s. All in all a fascinating piece of Tudor history and highly collectable Elizabeth I manuscripts. The price of postage is expensive due to the weight. Size of entire frame: Width almost 22 inches wide x 19 inches high.Condition: the document is in superb condition, the seal is worn but still attached. I will refund any overcharge on the postage.

A most wonderful and very collectable Memorial Medal produced by John Roettiers. The medal is cast is solid Sterling Silver obverse armoured bust right CAROL.D.G.M.B.F.E.T.H.REX & GLOR.MEM. Reverse Hand descending from heaven holding a celestial crown, below sheep in a landscape VIRTVT. EX. ME. FORTVNAM.EX.ALIJS NEF. The medal was to commemorate the death of King Charles I in 1649 when he was beheaded at Whitehall following the English Civil War lead by Oliver Cromwell. John Roettiers was a celebrated English engraver and medallist he produced many important medals throughout the reign of King Charles I. He also produced the official coronation medals of King James II, William III and Mary II. He died in 1703 and was buried in the Tower. Roettiers were credited at one of the best engravers ever employed at the English Mint. Totally original 17th Century Medal. I have seen bronze versions in which these were also produced in mint condition for £300, this medal which is on offer is made of Sterling Silver. Original WWII German Iron Cross 2nd Class From American Biker Gang Unusual Original WWII German Iron Cross, 2nd Class. Attached to metal neck chain, was used by an American biker gang back in the 1960’s. The medal ribbon suspension ring missing. The ring attaching to the iron cross is still soldered well, but one side slightly detached. But still holds firm. The anodized black iron core is in not bad condition, with some aging and loss to the reverse. One of a kind. Size of chain closed 12 1/2 inches designed to wear around the neck.

The flag is made of heavy duty linen and is stitched and not printed. Union Jack to corner, Royal Air Force blue field background, logo of Air Training Corps is stitched onto blue field. Has its original rope fixings, the halyard is hemp not nylon with two heavy brass fixings. The rope is unattached from the flag and is fee moving within its sleeve, can easily be reattached again. The Royal Training Corps ATC was established on 5th February 1941. The owner of this flag was a Wing Commander during WWII and also served in Northern Ireland. A very nice example of a WWII Air Training Corps flag would look superb mounted within a frame for display.Size: 25” high x 4ft wide Condition: has a couple of small abrasions under the training corps sign, 8 - 9 moth nips here and there. Single breasted long sleeved shirt complete with two pleated breast pockets each having scalloped flaps, the flap have silver metal NSDAP pattern crest silver gilt buttons which carries through to the front as well as the sleeves, all buttons are ring attached to the inside. The tunic has blue piped collars and blue piping patches. Retaining Ortsgruppen Collar for Hauptstellenleiter, these are double L shaped tresse with embroidered swastikas brassard. To the left arm three piece constructed Swastika Armband. Belt hooks are present to font and back. Stamp mark to inside of collar. The tunic has much staining to the outside through been badly stored over the years. please see photos, priced accordingly. Totally original.

The document is signed to the lower right hand by Queen Elizabeth II and countersigned by the President and the Secretary of The Royal Scottish Academy. Given to Donald Moodie who was a Scottish artist and academic, who was President of the society of Scottish Artists 1937-1941. Donald Moodie was honoured with the Royal Scottish Academys Guthrie Award in 1924.He was born in Edinburgh in 1892 and later studied at the Edinburgh college of Art. He served in WWI as Second Lieutenant with the machine gun Corps with the 5th Battalion of the royal Scotts and was wounded and mentioned in the dispatches. Rare Japanese Flag dated 1936 Berlin Olympic Games Rare Japanese Flag dated 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. The flag retains all its original stamp marks along with the German eagle. The 1936 games were made famous by American black athlete Jesse Owens who won four gold medals whilst competing Hitler refused to shake his hand, very desirable and highly collectable, very hard to find from this period of history. I am sure this would appeal to WWII Japanese militaria, Olympic memorabilia and third reich memorabilia. Still retains its original tie cords. After, Japan bombed Pearl Harbour the Americans joined WW2. Size 62 1/2 inches x 35 inches. Condition: Much age toning and foxing, age character and usage stains.

A Very Rare Original WWII German Map Marking Flag, these flags were used to pinpoint Troop Movements, Bombing Targets, Munitions Storage, Airfields etc. The flag is made of a beautiful woven fine silk with printed swastika and original pin intact. The Flag has much usage, with some of the Flag to the Swastika missing and slight tears also. The flag is set within a protective wallet, I have never taken it out of its plastic cover as not too damage it any further. A Rare artefact and hard to find. In one of the photos I have placed a card behind the black Swastika so it shows it full potential for display, this card does not come with the flag. Sizes: Pin length 80mm. SAS Tie Pin SAS Enamel Winged Tie Pin Badge belonging to former 21SAS SGT. An Original Vintage SAS Enamel Winged Tin Pin that belonged to Sergeant James Matthew Rowley. He joined the 21 SAS as a paratrooper just after formation in 1947. He had training in Arctic Warfare and his knowledge of languages came in handy in translating some opposition military material for the regiment. The Pin has a slight bend to it, enamel is in excellent condition. Becoming hard to find original items belonging to SAS Personnel.

Stunning Large Victorian Silk Embroidery depicting British Naval Flags. A beautiful commemorative Victorian Silk embroidery depicting British Naval Flags. The individual flags depict the white ensign of St George flown by the British Royal Navy, the red Ensign or Red Duster, overlapping the Welsh and Scottish Naval flags. To the centre bottom has an original embossed Card showing wedding bells, I presume this would have been a wedding gift for a naval officer/personal for their wedding. To top has the insignia Dieu Et mon droit (French pronunciation) which means God and my right. This moto is said to have first been used by Kind Richard I, as a battle cry. Beneath this Victoria crown. The colours are extremely vivid and are also the same as the day it was made. Please see photos. A nice large size of 19 and a half inches by 18 inches tall. Totally wonderful original WWII Air Raid Brodie Helmet with original Air Raid Hand Bell Totally wonderful original WWII Air Raid Brodie Helmet with original Air Raid Hand Bell. A wonderful British Military Set. The helmet and hand bell are becoming hard to find together, the warden was based in Stepney London, both items were purchased from the original family. The helmet marked with two large white W to front and back, has some paint loss to oneside, please see photos. To the inside we see full stamp marks dating 1939. The helmet still retain the original cloth inner lining which is hard to find no most helmets today, with original padding and chin strap. Also has faded retailers stamp. The bell is marked 1939 A.R.P. in full working order, has some slight damage to one outer edge. All in all a real collectors piece of early WWII memorabilia. Hard to find hat and bell used by the same military personnel. Condition: some loss to the paint of the helmet, slight damage to the rim of the bell. All totally original wonderful set.

Very Rare English Sterling Silver Charles II 1683 Lace Back Treffid Tablespoon. A wonderful opportunity to purchase a very rare English Sterling silver Treffid lace back Rattail tablespoon made in London during the reign of King Charles II 1683. The spoon has a wonderful highly polished silver finish to its entirety and has a beautiful period look to its entirety, reflecting the Stuarts Era. The finial depicts the Treffid pattern, pattern lace back, with swirls and swishes this also carries through to the reverse of the spoon, please see photos. The hallmarks which are worn but in good condition date letter very prominent, the spoon to the finial has a latter initialling .All in all a wonderful opportunity to own a King Charles II 1683 tablespoon. Such items are now to be found in museums and in private collections and would make a superb investment for the future or for the serious collector,. I have seen on the internet such spoons retailing for £835 to over £1000 such items are not lace backs, lace backs are more desirable than plan finishing, this spoon for sale is lace back. A 100% original. high quality British Victorian Army Tunic of the Kings Own Light Infantry South Yorkshire Regiment. Scarlet Red tunic with black collar with white pipe edge with outer edge bullion wire Tresse. Matching black shoulder broads with one pip and original button. The cuffs of both sleeves have matching facing complete with bullion wire cuff insignia. All buttons are Victorian Queens Crown for the Kings Light Regiment and are original. Reverse of tunic at the base features decorative facing complete with gilt regimental buttons and white piping, also retains one original belt hook the rest are missing. White cloth lining to the interior which has age paten and some light ripping please see photos. The tunic dates from around 1889. 100% original tunic, iconic regiment. About the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Was a light Infantry Regiment of the British Army, it officially existed from 1881 to 1968. But its predecessors go back to 1755. Condition: Has some moth tracks to back and front, does not defer from this Splendid Victorian Tunic, displays very well.

Waffen SS Rottenfuhrer M36 Field Tunic. A very Hard to find Waffen SS M36 pattern Four Pocket, Field Grey Tunic rank of Rottenfuhrer. The Tunic has a dark green collar with its original SS Collar Tabs, SS Cotton Runes to one tab with double stripe Rank of Rottenfuhrer to the other. Quality Original SS Arm Eagle and Double chevron to left arm. Shoulder Boards are in white piping denoting Infantry. Also to lower sleeve, there are signs where it had an original cuff title, which unfortunately has been removed. The tunic features two belt button holes to either side and has four pleated pockets and all original pebble buttons are present. To the reverse of Tunic slit back opening. To the inside there is one pocket and two field repairs one to the arm and one to the back along with some signs of blood staining. A totally original Waffen SS M36 Field Tunic becoming very hard to find one for the collector.

Wonderful Royal Prince Albert (Later King George VI) Hand Written Collection Fascinating piece of Royal memorabilia up for sale, including a photograph of a young princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II), princess Margaret along with their mother the Royal Highness the Duchess of York. Also includes a Letter with its original envelope and stationary card embossed with Balmoral Cipher addressed to Henry Sainsbury Newcombe F R P S. The letter, envelope and card are all written in the hand of Albert (Bertie), wonderful bold and clear signature to the reverse of the letter. The Balmoral card has initials to the bottom dated 16/9/30. Please see photographs. Henry Sainsbury Newcombe (Harry) worked for Wallace Heaton of Bond Street, London and in his 30s he became personal photographer of the Royal Family. He became very close to Edward VIII before his abdication and was a regular visitor to Buckingham Palace he was also advisor on photographic matters to keen photographer King George VI. He was the first person to bring 35mm photography to this country in 1945. Prince Albert was seconded in line to the throne and became King of England after the abdication of his Brother Edward VIII. King George VI had a stammer (portrayed in the movie the Kings Speech) he died on the 6th February 1952 of lung cancer. Please see photographs and wonderful collection of British Royal memorabilia. Would grace any collection. Condition: no splits to the letter or card in great condition, envelope has obviously been open.

Totally original WWI British Trench Whistle dated 1916 made by J. Hudson & Co Birmingham. Comes with its original leather strap which has the military broad arrow stamped to it. Has a few little dents here and there obviously through use. A wonderful piece of Military WWI British history, the whistles were used to signal an attack on the enemy in which the British Soldiers would go over the top of the trenches. The Hudson Company was a world famous whistle maker and produced the whistles used for the Titanic. Stamp marks pattern T572.08, J. Hudson & Co. Birmingham.
